Indian citizens, as on Oct 1, 2009, should hold minimum class 12 (10+2) pass or equivalent qualification with a min of 60 per cent (55 per cent for SC/ ST/ PWD/ XS) or degree from a recognised university (graduation) with a minimum of 40 per cent (35 per cent for SC/ ST/ PWD/ XS).
Candidates who have not passed class 12 exam but have passed diploma course after class 10 are eligible provided
(i) Diploma course was full-time course with min two years duration (diploma through correspondence not eligible)
(ii) The diploma course should be recognised/ approved by the State Board of Technical Education of the concerned state
(iii) Percentage of marks in class 12/ diploma shall be arrived at by dividing the marks obtained by candidate in all subjects by aggregate max marks of all subjects, irrespective of optional/ additional optional subjects studied.
Similarly percentage of marks in graduation shall also be arrived at by dividing aggregate marks obtained by candidates in all subjects by max marks of the course (both for pass/ honours course) for all the years of the course.
Min age 18 years and max 28 years (candidates born between Sep 30, 1981 and Oct 1, 1991) both days inclusive, are only eligible to apply. Final selection will be made on the basis of performance in the written test and interview taken together.
The written test will be objective, consisting of (i) General awareness (ii) General English (iii) Quantitative aptitude (iv) Reasoning ability and (v) Marketing aptitude/ computer knowledge. The questions in these objective tests, except for the test of general English, will be printed in bilingual (English and Hindi). Negative marks (1/4) for wrong answers in objective tests. Candidates will have to pass in each of the objective tests.
