Bareilly Cable Operators Stealing Tax

Yesterday, the guy who manages the cable connections in my surroundings came and told to all those who are using his services for not more than 2 years that some counting is going on and if you wanna continue the services you'll have to pay Rs 50 extra. Well if you wants to enjoy at the same rate you have to remain devoid of cable connections for two days and as soon as inspection or counting will be done, we'll continue your services overnight. Almost 60 - 70 percent connections are discontinued, but I am among those who are still enjoying the service. A month earlier he came to me asked the info and registered my name. So it depicts that the cable operators are no doubt making a fool of legal system and stealing a huge amount of tax from the government. As cable operators have to pay channels depending upon the number of subscribers but by providing the false data, they are also stealing the channel's revenue.

We have been using the cable connection for more than decade and as I recall no survey was done by entertainment officials to find out whether the numbers that cable operators prividing them are exactly the same. Somehow, I feel that these officials are also involved in tax stealing.

It's really surprising that none of the local newspaper came to know about it. The local newspapers in Bareilly seems to be more interested in publishing masala news like rape, inter-caste marriages, girl's eloping with their boyfriends rather then letting people know how this tax stealing will cost them.

This thing happens in many places. The cable mafia calls the shots. Government is losing tax in so many instances. The grocer never gives a printed bill, the medical shop person just does not bother even to give a paper bill.
The UP police wakes up when Aamir Khan stays with a false name and forgets to pursue real cases of kidney stealing, land grabbing and supreme court order violations regarding statues. It is not only UP but the situation is the same everywhere in India.
When a house is registered, only sixty percent is shown to avoid stamp duty. And the officials take black money not in the office but in some place where they cant be caught redhanded. They have become smarter.
What Pranab Mukherjee is doing to plug these loopholes? Government is losing crores while the spread of black money is increasing at an abnormal phase.
