Kalki on Colors: A mytho cum fantasy based show
With every entertainment channel running atleast one mythological show, after Jai Shri Krishna, Colors will have Smita Thackeray's mythological cum fantasy based show Kalki. It is undoubtedly the next big launch on Colors as far as fiction is concerned. Her production house named after her son is called Rahul Productions.
Kalki is basically a combination of mythological as well as fantasy based show, wherein 20-30% will be based on the concept of mythology and the remaining on fantasy. Lord Vishnu has ten avatars, and the Kalki avatar happens to be the 10th avatar taken in the Kalyug.
The show boasts of big names from television as well as Bollywood.
Amarr Upadhyay (aka Mihir Virani of Kyunki) and Jaya Bhattacharya will be seen essaying important roles in the show. Amarr Upadhyay will play the previous avatar of Kalki, called Atharva. His will be a long-running role.
