Avika Gor's decision will suffer Balika Vadhu

Colors daily soap Balika Vadhu, which enjoyed the high TRPs since started is in the middle of a crisis as television’s youngest bahu Anandi played by Avika Gor has made up her mind to exit the show. She is the central character on the show.

Balika Vadhu is all about Anandi’s character but Avika Gor, the protagonist, has made up her mind to quit the show. The channel tried to persuade her to continue but she didn’t relent. Now the channel is left with no option but to change the storyline.

They plan a sequence in which Anandi will be shot so that she can exit the show. The channel is still contemplating whether to show she is dead or show that she slips into a coma, so that they can buy some time to make her reconsider. However, Avika is in no mood to do so.

With Anandi’s character being phased out, the pressure on the makers of the serial is to shift the storyline to make other characters more relevant and not let the show suffer. The storyline will now focus on the remaining actors so that over time, her absence won’t be noticed quite so much. The creative team is busy working out new high points for the show.
