Vivek Mashru leaving Sony's CID

Vivek Mashru who plays the role of inspector Vivek on Sony Entertainment Television's CID since 2007 is all set to leave the show. He was selected after a nationwide hunt a few years ago for a new face on the show. He is keen on doing new things and experiment with different roles rather than doing the same ones again and again. He has had no issues till date as he is one of the most calm and down to earth person.

Sony TV’s show CID which started in the year 1998 produced by Fireworks Productions has seen very few changes in the regular cast. The serial is one of the most popular and longest running shows on Indian television.
